📘 What is CUET?

CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and research programs (Ph.D.) in central, state, deemed, and private universities across India.

✅ Purpose of CUET:

  • Standardized admission process across universities.
  • Equal opportunity regardless of board or region.
  • Admission based on merit in the CUET exam — not on Class 12 marks.

🏛️ Participating Universities (UG Admissions)

CUET is mandatory for:

  • All Central Universities (e.g., DU, JNU, BHU, AMU, JAMIA)
  • Many State, Deemed, and Private Universities

👉 In 2025, 250+ universities participated.

📚 CUET UG Exam Structure (2025)

CUET UG is divided into 3 Sections:

🔹 Section 1A – Languages (13 choices)

  • English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya, Assamese, Punjabi
  • Test: Reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar
  • Ques: 40 out of 50
  • Time: 45 mins

🔹 Section 1B – Other Languages (20 choices)

  • French, German, Spanish, Sanskrit, etc.

🔹 Section 2 – Domain Subjects (29 choices)

  • Subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Accountancy, Business Studies, History, Political Science, Psychology, etc.
  • Choose up to 6 subjects
  • Questions: 40 out of 50
  • Time per subject: 45 mins

🔹 Section 3 – General Test (Optional)

  • Logical Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude
  • Useful for courses like BBA, law, etc.
  • Ques: 60 out of 75
  • Time: 60 mins

📝 CUET UG Eligibility Criteria

📌 For UG Courses:

  • Qualification: Passed or appearing in Class 12 or equivalent.
  • Minimum %: No minimum marks, but individual universities may have criteria.

Age Limit:

  • No upper age limit for CUET UG.
