Subject-wise Exam Pattern for Stream SA/SX/SB:

In SX/SB, candidates are required to answer any THREE of four subjects in Part I and any TWO of four subjects in Part II.

Renewal/Continuation of fellowship:

• Fellow continues to study basic science course in school / junior college / university and maintains academic performance of first class or 60% (50% for SC / ST / PWD) in aggregate or equivalent grade marks. And the student must necessarily pass all the subjects prescribed for that academic year and get the above mentioned marks.
• In course work, in each academic year, marks / grades have to be certified by the Dean or Head of the Institution. Fellowship will be discontinued if the above marks / grades are not received. However, if the fellow passes all subjects and scores more than 60% (50% for SC / ST / PWD) in subsequent years, the fellowship can be renewed from that year, again. With the condition that the partner should score 60% (50% for SC / ST / PWD) in total every year.
• In addition to the above, participation and satisfactory performance in the Summer Camp in the first year and Summer project every year thereafter is required for renewal of the fellowship.
• KVPY Fellows who stream the basic sciences (B.Sc./BS/B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./MS.) At any stage will stop for fellowships and contingency grants .

Other Privileges: Each KVPY Fellow is issued an identity card to reach the national laboratories / universities who have agreed to extend special privileges like KVPY Fellows like library, laboratory facility etc. on production of ID cards.
